Gong Xi Fa Cai

It was a simple but impressive Chinese New Year celebration in this pandemic. What a pretty and handsome appearance from students by wearing cheongsam / red costume in this virtual Imlek festive. Students, parents and teachers had Mandarin virtual presentation via zoom, on Wednesday, 17 February 2021, as the second presentation in this academic year. The students performed Mandarin Presentation, sing and dance, and had fashion show for PG students. They showed their best action in front of their beloved parents and teachers. We were amazed with their performances. Good job kiddos.

This mandarin presentation was held to facilitate the students to be more communicative, be brave and expressive, and also to improve their Mandarin speaking skill. In Mandarin presentation, PG and K2 students introduced their name and age. PG students continued it by presenting “I love my family members”. K2 students continued it by telling whether their like kind of fruits or not.

This was the good moment for parents and students to share quality time to each other. In this good occasion, we had collaboration with parents and students to make art and craft together. The art and craft activities were angpao (red envelope) making for K2 and fan making for PG.

At the end of the activity, the kids gave respect to parents by having Kiong Hi (Mandarin Greeting Tradition in Imlek). Awaited moments came, “parents gave angpao to their beloved kids”. Yeay…. Thank you Mommy and Daddy.
